		abstract={In Sekolah Tinggi Teknik PLN (STT-PLN), thesis checking process is still done
manually. This research is about the calculation of the similarity of thesis
document Chapter I (Introduction). This study aims to display the percentage of
similarity between documents to minimize plagiarism. The methods to build this
system are text mining, cosine similarity and jaccard similarity. Text mining for
preprocessing text, which includes tokenizing, filtering, and stemming. While
Cosine Similarity and Jaccard Similarity to do the calculation of similarity which
will be do comparison of the two methods. Based on the test results on 25 thesis
documents performed, cosine similarity method has an accuracy of 76.66% and
jaccard similarity method has an accuracy of 23.34%.}
