The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the effect of heating on coal will reduce the amount of moisture contained in coal, the step taken is to take coal samples on conveyor belt unit 5-7 then test it before heating on ambient temperature and heated at 70,90,105 ? to find out the difference deviation moisture in coal. After testing can be seen the difference of moisture between coal before and after being heated is 22.18% with a pre-heating value of 27.16% and after heating at a temperature of 105 ? at 4.98%. With these results can be seen in the calculation of heat loss method boiler efficiency has increased before and after heating that is equal to 83.75% to 87.48% at heating at temperatures of 105 ?.} }
