		abstract={Milkfish is one of the most popular commodities in Indonesia, including in
Bima,West Nusa Tenggara. Because there is no sorting process at the time of
buying and selling fish in the pond, causing losses to the fish farmers, so this
research will design a milkfish sorting equipment to accurately distinguish the
length of fish, this study distinguishes milkfish category into three categories, the
short category, medium category and long category. One of the advanced
technology used is Ultrasonic Sensor and Infrared Sensor. The application of
Fuzzy Tahani method in prototype successfully categorizes milkfish with 80%
accuracy}
