Reliability is the probability of an equipment to operate as planned well within a certain time interval. The voltage drop that occurs in the transmission line is the difference between the sending end voltage and the receiving end voltage. In this study the method used is a quantitative research method. This research uses capacitors to improve the voltage and reliability of the system. The result of the voltage drop that occurs the most before the capacitor is installed is the Samalanga substation where the value is 124.4001 kV with a voltage drop percentage of -20% and the results of system reliability are in poor condition. The result of the greatest voltage drop after 4 units of capacitors were installed was the Blang Pidie substation with a voltage value of 138.4348 kV with an average decrease of -11% and the results of the reliability of the system were in good condition. The power flow uses the convergent Newton-rapshon method in the 5th iteration where the Nagan Raya Substation generator with the maximum reactive power required is greater than the maximum reactive power limit Q=145.75Mvar > Qmax= 35 Mvar. The minimum active power generated at the plant is smaller than the minimum limit P= -208.92 MW < Pmin= 0 MW} }
