		abstract={As time goes by, technology is getting more and more sophisticated. One of the
technological sophistications in the field of education is technology in the form of webbased applications that students can use for online guidance. The Informatics
Engineering Study Program at the PLN Institute of Technology faces problems in
recording the track record of guidance. From these problems resulted in the audit
process not running properly, therefore an application that can handle the problem is
needed. The Design and Development of the Online Guidance Application for
Academic Advisors was created to be used by academic supervisors and students in the
Informatics Engineering Study Program, PLN Institute of Technology. The method in
this study uses the Waterfall system development method which consists of several
stages ranging from Data Collection, Data Requirements Analysis, System Design,
Implementation, System Testing, and Maintenance. The result of the research is to
create an application that has a chat feature and record the track record of guidance that
has been carried out between students and their academic supervisors.}
