Harmonics occur due to the use of non-linear loads which result in the waves resulting from the output of voltage and current have different characteristics from the input waves so they are called distortions. Harmonic waves are waves in which there is a frequency multiple of the fundamental frequency caused by non-linear loads. The existence of voltage and current harmonics in an electrical system that can affect the quality of its power. Harmonics have a standard value which if the harmonics exceed the standard value, it can result in damage to the equipment in the electrical system. The existence of harmonics can make the transformer experience over heating which will later result in the amount of losses in the transformer and can also affect the decrease in efficiency and power capacity in the transformer. From the results of the measurement of voltage and current harmonics in PT. Tasindo Tassa Industries obtained a max THDv value of 3.94% and min 3.05% so it is said to be good and does not exceed the standard limit of 5% referring to (IEEE 519- 1992). While the THDi max value of 94.17 and min 11.18% strongly exceeds the standard limit of 15% referring to (IEEE 519-1992).} }
