abstract={One of the uses of renewable energy which currently has great potential to be developed is wind energy. This energy is clean energy and in the production process does not pollute the environment. Utilization of wind energy sources to produce electricity is not new, but the electricity produced is certainly very limited because it is caused by several main things, such as wind speed potential in an area, duration of wind in one day, and energy conversion equipment used. The utilization of wind energy in Indonesia is still relatively low at present but has enormous potential. Nonetheless, the wind potential in Indonesia is available most of the year, making it possible to develop a small-scale power generation system. For this reason, this research was developed by designing Darrius H type vertical axis windmills and can produce maximum electrical energy by utilizing relatively low wind speeds.
