It is functioned as a tool for people to communicate with others, to deliver ideas, messages, feeling, etc. Language and society are closely related. Certain society speaks certain language or certain language shows identities of certain society. African Americans speak different kind of English called African American Vernacular English (AAVE) which has distinctive grammatical features compared to Standard English. The researcher conducts a research about AAVE grammatical features that are used by Carter in Rush Hour 2 Movie by using Wolfram theory. This research focuses on two problems: (1)Whatare the characteristics of grammatical features produced by Mr.Carter in Rush Hour 2 movie?, (2) What are the differences of grammatical features of African American Vernacular English (AAVE) in Rush Hour 2 movie from Standard English (SE)?. This research uses qualitative approach in document analysis to describe the AAVE grammatical features used by Carter in Rush Hour 2 Movie. The data are transcribed utterances produced by Carter taken from Rush Hour 2 Movie which is downloaded from gomlab.com website. The researcher finds seventeen Grammatical Characteristics of AAVE in Rush Hour 2 movie script, which are: absence of copula or auxiliary, invariant be, regular and irregular past verb , aspectual marker been, leveling present be to is, regularized was for past be, double modals, use ain?t for negation, ain?t for didn?t, negative concord (double or multiple negation), 3rd plural ?s, 2nd plural y?all, 3rd singular ?s absence, measurable noun plural absence, Generelized verb plural absence, non-inverted simple questionand inverted embedded question, and finds seven features which is defferences from Standard English, they are: Invariant be, aspectual marker been, use ain?t for negation, ain?t for didn?t, 2nd plural y?all, non inverted simple question, and inverted embedded question.} }
