		abstract={The schedule in a construction project is certainly having connection with the quantity and the composition of workers. One of the problems which are usually happened in scheduling is the necessity in determining the quantity and the composition in each group of workers for every kind of jobs that can be effectively used in a construction project. This thesis contains the result of research which has the purpose to identify some factors that influence the foremen in arranging the composition or workers. This study also presents about the duration in a construction activities and the design of the worker composition.

In the discussion on the factors that become the consideration in designing group or workers, the analysis that is used is descriptive analysis. The number of respondents are 30 people and all of them are the labours in Yogyakarta area. Another discussion is on the problem of the duration of the activity and the design of the worker composition, the analysis is carried out by using mean. The mean value of workers output is the result of the mean of 30 respondents and it is supported by 6 direct observation data.
The result of the research shows that the dominant factors, which become the consideration of the foremen in determining their work group, are 1) the quality of work, 2) the quantity of works, 3) the workers skill, and 4) certain condition which can accelerate the works. Other result of this research are the duration and the composition of workers which are formed for each work}
