		abstract={Construction development have a role in environmental. This growth followed by downhill of environmental quality around the project. Development [do] not only in just building physical, but have to concern in to impacts around the project. This research has purpose to identify major factor giving impact to environment around construction of shoping market in  Yogyakarta.

This research used supported by comparational design. Data are collected by spreading kuesioner and interview to society and used literature research to get the theoretical bases from problem of project existence to environmental.

Result of research indicate that the impact of the malls give the positive influence to social environment. Environment aspect that have the most influence to society the physical aspect. Followed by economic social aspect, cultural social, and biological. There are not difference perception to existence mall between public society group with the group of practitioner society.}
