The hydraulic system is used to operate several components namely aileron, tail plane, rudder, air brake, flap, landing gear, and wheel brake. Seeing the importance of the existence of the hydraulic system, a simple recalculation is carried out to see a simple description of the hydraulic system maintenance on the Boeing 737 - 900 ER airplane. The recorded components that experienced many failures in the hydraulic system were Engine Driven Pump (EDP) and Electric Motor Driven Pump (EMDP) as is known that these two components are the main components that have an important role in the work of the hydraulic system on an airplane. The method used was Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) that is an analysis carried out to be able to find the effects or impacts is likely to make damage that causes hydraulic system failure. The results of analysis using FMEA found 6 problems including EDP systems A and B including leak, bad condition, line fitting leakage, low pressure, press can't operate, and broken. The results of the analysis with the FMEA method obtained the results in the form of the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value of the EDP is the finding of a leak in the EDP component. The potential cause (dominant cause) of this failure case was a leak in the EDP component with an RPN value of 280.} }
