		abstract={Background: Waste is an item that is not reused that originates from the disposal of daily activities. If waste is not managed properly, it will cause waste production that continues to explode, making it an important problem. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that affect community behavior in waste management in Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative research with the research design used, namely cross-sectional. The population in this study is housewives in RW 01 Giwangan Village. Sampling uses a stratified random sampling technique. The number of samples in the study was 71 respondents. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The analysis used in this study is univariate and bivariate analysis.  Results: Based on the results of this study, it was shown that there was one variable that had a relationship between waste transportation services (p = 0.005) while the one that did not have a relationship was age (p = 0.380), employment status (p = 0.401), income (p = 0.180), education (p = 0.997) and availability of facilities (p = 0.066) with community behavior in waste management in Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District. Conclusion: There is no relationship between age, employment status, income, education and availability of facilities while the variable related to community behavior in waste management in Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District is waste transportation services.}
