Adolescence often experiences health problems including iron deficiency (Anemia), lack of height (Stunting), chronic energy deficiency (CED), obesity (Obesity). Factors that cause a high incidence of anemia in adolescents include low intake of iron and other nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, riboflavin and vitamin B12, errors in iron consumption, for example consumption of iron together with other substances that can interfere with absorption of nutrients. the iron. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SAFENA on increasing HB levels in anemic adolescents. The design of this study uses a Quasi Experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design technique. The research population is the population of all 7th and 8th grade students at Batuwarno District Public Middle School in 2022. In this study, the number of samples was 335 samples obtained from the average population. The dependent variable was the process of hemoglobin levels. The independent variable was SAFENA. Data processing techniques used Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulating. The results showed that 88 respondents were divided into 2, namely 44 respondents in the intervention group and 44 respondents in the control group. The increase in hemoglobin levels was the majority in the intervention group after being given SAFENA in grade 7 by 14 students (31.8%) and grade 8 by 18 students (40.9%), there was no decrease in HB levels. in the control group after being given only FE tablets there was an increase in HB levels in 16 respondents (36.4%) and 28 respondents (6.4%) but there was no decrease in HB levels in the control group. The Wilcoxon test results showed that the Z value was -3.578, while the p value was 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion is that there are differences in HB levels after being given SAFENA which is effective in increasing HB levels in the intervention group compared to the control group which is only given Fe tablets to young women at SMP Negeri Batuwarno District} }
