		abstract={This thesis discusses the information content of the announcement of rights issue. Sampling was carried out by the judgment sampling method in which samples were taken with a range of 2009 to 2011. Samples obtained as many as 33 companies. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is information content in the announcement of rights issue during the period of observation. Testing begins by calculating the abnormal return and trading volume activity using a window period of 5 days before and 5 days after the announcement of rights issue. The next stage to test the normality of the data using one sample Kolmogorov-Smirnorv Test. Further test this hypothesis using a paired t test and one-sample t test. The results showed a significant positive and negative reactions to the testing of paired t test and one-sample t test.}
