		abstract={Background : The negative impact by nosocomial infections which is now referred to (HAIs) is complex.
Hand Hygine is one effective steps for prevent the spread nosocomial infections. But in fact there are many Nurse which have not been obedient in implementing hand-washing procedures.many factors related to the compliance of nurses in performing hand-washing proceduressuch as the level of educations, cognition , motivation , years of service, supervision.
Objective : this research aims to determine The related factors to compliance of nurses in performing hand-washing procedures On inpatient room 1 Rs RK Charitas Palembang
Method :This study is a qualitative research with analytic survey method with cross sectional approachwith a purposive sampling techniques, population consisted of 223 respondents and the sample consisted of 144 respondents.
Result :  test results with chi square statistic, obtainedthere is no correlation between level of education and performing hand-washing procedures with p value : 0,876 (p>0,05) and OR = 1,155, there is a significant relationship between Motivation and performing hand-washing procedures with p value : 0,009 (p<0,05) and OR : 2,629, there is a significant relationship between cognition and performing hand-washing procedures with p value : 0,010 (p<0,05) and OR = 2,568. there is a significant relationship between Supervision and performing hand-washing procedures with p value : 0,027 (p<0,05) and OR = 2,240.
Suggestion : all health care workers are expected to keep hand hygine for prevent the spread nosocomial infections for the creation of safe nursing care for patient or health workers.}
