		abstract={House is one of prime necessity for human as individual and social creature as a place for staying, protection, and rest along their lives. Any effort is done to get an ideal house, from designing or building by themselves to buying a ready-staying house in a residence suited with their salary.
Nowadays, there are many residences which offer many types of house with various price, from type 36 to 120. Besides, various strategies are done by the developer to attract buyers? interest. One of the strategies is by opening stand of exhibition in malls in Palembang. In the strategy, there is usually only one marketing who gives information to the target so that other targets have to wait.
That condition is not so effective that is needed to make Decision Support System which can help the target to gain information about the residence which they need and want. Thus, one of ways that will be implemented by the observer to give solution for Palembang people is Decision Support System for Residence Choice in Palembang. This application can help the society to choose the residence based on the criteria that they want. In creating this application, the observer uses the methodology of waterfall system model development, UML software development, programming language PHP, and theMySQL database.
This application is hoped to be able to help society, especially Palembang society in choosing residence based on the criteria that they want.}
