		abstract={This study aims to determine the effect of workload and work ethic on the performance of restaurant waiters in Palembang City. Independent variable consists of workload and work ethic. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire instrument filled out by the restaurant waiters. Sampling using purposive sampling method with criteria (1) working as a restaurant waiter, (2) a maximum age of 30 years, and (3) working in the city of Palembang. This research method uses the feasibility test of the instruments used in this study include the validity test and reliability test. The data Feasibility Test consisted of normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis. The feasibility test of the model consists of the F test and the coefficient of determination (R2). Hypothesis testing is the T test. The results of this study indicate that workload has a negative effect on performance. Meanwhile, work ethic has a positive effect on performance.
