		abstract={This study aims to find out whether the variables of simple accounting and bookkeeping knowledge have an effect on household financial management.  This research is a research quantitative descriptive, in which data collection uses the survey method with a questionnaire (likert scale). The data used in this research are primary data. The population in this study are housewives in the city of Palembang, the selection method used was convenience sampling with total of 96 samples. The analytical tool used in this study was the linear regression analysis. The results of this research showed that accounting knowledge has no effect on household financial management.  While simple bookkeeping has influence on household financial management.
