The concept of self-efficacy in academic conditions is called academic self-efficacy. Basically, there are two types of students that are distinguished based on the source of funds used in education, through personal financing (non-recipient students) and those who get funding through scholarships. Therefore, this research aimed to find out the difference in self-efficacy of scholarship students and non-scholarship recipients. This research was non-experimental quantitative research because the analysis was emphasized numerical data processed by statistical methods. The variables were self-efficacy, scholarship students, and non-scholarship students. The respondents were all active students of Musi Charitas Palembang Catholic University using purposive sampling (nonprobability sampling). The data was obtained through the dissemination of questionnaires with a Google Form. The researcher used quantitative data analysis techniques with Independent Sample T-test analysis techniques. The results showed that it was found for df of 66, for a significant value (p) of 0.763 > 0.05 or in other words a P-value greater than 0.05 for t of 1.113, from here we can conclude that Ha was rejected and H0 was accepted, so there was no difference in self-efficacy level between scholarship recipient students and non-scholarship recipients. The absence of differences in self-efficacy between scholarship students and non-scholarship recipients can be caused by many factors because there are many things that affected a person's self-efficacy.
