abstract={A nun is a woman who dares to choose celibacy by leaving everything she has and joining a fraternity. The call they feel is a mystery that comes from God who calls individuals who are ready to do God's will. Nuns are bound in 3 vows namely chastity, poverty and obedience. Decision making is a process when someone chooses between two or more alternative choices, interprets an event, or predicts a situation that will occur in the future based on limited information. This study aims to find out how the dynamics of decision making in nuns who have worked before living in convent. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The research method used is the method of interviews and observations conducted on 3 subjects. The results of this study indicate that these three subjects before becoming nuns had worked in various professions and their journey to become nuns became a strength for each of them in living a monastic life.
