		abstract={Crystal guava (Psidium Guajava) is one type of guava that has fewer seeds, has a crunchy fruit texture, and has a sweet taste. In maintaining the quality of crystal guava fruit, farmers do fruit packaging when the fruit is 4 MSA (Sunday After Anthesis) using plastic wrap. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plastic color and packaging age on the quality of crystal guava fruit. The research was conducted from May to August 2022 in a crystal guava plantation located in Bumi Aji Village, Batu City, East Java. The study was conducted using 2 factors, namely factor 1 the color of the plastic wrap (white plastic (white farmer control), blue and red) and factor 2 the age of the packaging (3 MSA (weeks after anthesis), 4 MSA (weeks after anthesis), and 5 MSA. The observation variables consisted of fruit weight and diameter, fruit tenderness, PTT and ATT content in fruit, chlorophyll content in fruit, intensity of fruit skin color using a color reader, percentage of attack, criteria for fruit harvested and organoleptic tests. The results showed the interaction between plastic color and packaging age on the content of PTT (Total Dissolved Solids) and the color intensity of the fruit skin which was tested using a color reader. Fruit wrapped in blue plastic with packaging 4 to 5 MSA (weeks after anthesis) can increase fruit weight and diameter, fruit tenderness, PTT content, bright green color on fruit skin, shape and aroma of shiny and fragrant round fruit, attacked by pests of speed. fruit is less and panelists prefer the aroma and taste of fruit wrapped in blue plastic.}
