		abstract={This research is based on an analysis of how the form and function of
metaphorical language style in the collection of poems Happy to carry out the
Worship of Poetry by Joko Pinurbo. Researchers chose a collection of poems by
Joko Pinurbo because it is unique and not many people have researched about this
collection of poems, in addition there are still many readers who do not under
stand the form and function of poetry
This study uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. The data
collection technique used in this research is the documentation technique
The results of this study are the form of metaphor in the poem Selamat
Carrying Out Poetry Worship by Joko Pinurbo, there are 2 types of metaphors,
namely synesthesia metaphor and anthropomorphic metaphor, synesthesia
metaphor dominates in the 10 selected poems that were sampled in this study,
which amounted to 25 metaphors. As for the anthropomorphic type of metaphor,
there are only 16 metaphors. The function of metaphor in 10 poems by Joko
Pinurbo is to emphasize meaning, blur meaning, and emphasize meaning,
especially on the aspect of the time of the events in the poem.}
