		abstract={Movies have an emotional impact, and have a high level of popularity. This research examines how the short movie "Tenang" gained enthusiasm from the community, especially UMM Kine Club officials. This study aims to find out how the acceptance of the 2022/2023 Kine Club UMM as viewer as well as filmmakers in the short movie "Tenang" by Yandy Laurens on Youtube Yura Yunita gives a message or meaning, especially how the film can influence the audience through visualization and lyrics or audio that served. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with reception study research methods and data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation. 
The data in this study were then analyzed using Stuart Hall's theory which places the audience in three positions, namely Dominant, Negotiations, and
Oppositions. From the results of interviews conducted by giving 16 questions to 7 subjects related to how the subject's acceptance of the short movie "Tenang". The accumulated results, 112 answers from 16 questions given by researchers to the subject, 83 of them answered dominant, 16 negotiations, and 13 opposition. So the
conclusion of this study shows that most of the subjects occupy a dominant position because they agree that the short film 'Tenang' by Yandy Laurens as a music video concept can make it easier for the audience to understand the story adapted from the story. the song with the same title is 'Tenang'.}
