		abstract={This article aims to discuss why the Indonesian government's policy regarding rice imports from Vietnam 2015-2019. Where every year there are more fluctuations in the population in an area will increase the amount of food consumption in an area while reduced rice fields that change their function into housing or industrial areas and also increase the price of rice each year This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, techniques in This research was conducted through literature study which was collected through books, journals, theses and online media. The results of this study show that the Indonesian government's policy on importing rice from Vietnam is increasing so that the policy is not suitable for farmers because this policy will have an impact on farmers so that the food samaweda, specifically rice, is not stable domestically, it is evident that every year the price of rice rising so that it damages or kills the domestic market price.}
