		abstract={Baubau city is a city that has potential to be developed for tourism because it has many historical, cultural and interesting landscapes. Department of tourism in managing the tourism assets of Baubau city which is considered no progress. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation of Community Based Tourism in promoting Buton Palace Fort Tourism Objects. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data was obtained by using the indirect interview method. This study shows that the Buton Palace Fortress requires better infrastructure on transportation aspect, where if tourists from Java island must to transit in Makassar first and continue the journey to Baubau city for a vacation because Betoambari Airport is included in third class domestic airport. Because of that the tourist will think twice to spend more time on the road to go to Baubau. Therefore, the role of every stakeholder in CBT have to find a solution to this problem, thereby attracting local and foreign tourists.}
