		abstract={The role of parents in raising children with special needs is very important for everyday life, because parents are the main educators for children. Therefore, the parenting style that parents apply while at home is very influential in the life of their children. Starting from attention and so on so that children with special needs can grow to be independent and achievers. This study aims to identify and describe the parenting style of parents in caring for children with special needs in Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, determines the subject using purposive techniques, this study uses data analysis techniques, namely: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions in which these techniques have been tested as test data. The results of the study show that the parenting styles of parents in caring for children with special needs use different types of parenting. There are several parenting styles applied by the five parents, namely: authoritarian, permissive and democratic. Barriers from parents who have children with special needs are usually the child's mood which often changes and parents do not understand sign language so that parents do not understand their child's wishes.}
