Idioms play a vital role in English, especially for learners and speakers. This study focused on identifying and interpreting expressions in the 2019 movie "Knives Out." The researcher employed a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing documentation and tabulation as supporting tools. The finding of the research revealed six types of idioms used in Knives Out movies those are simile parable, euphemism, cliché, proverb, binomial, and fix statement. The researcher found two sentences that contained similes parables, two sentences of binomials, six sentences of proverbs, five sentences of euphemism, seven sentences of cliché, and then 24 sentences of fixed statements. Therefore, the researcher in this research has gathered information aligning with the categories of idiomatic expressions identified in McCarthy's investigation, which are simile's parable, euphemism, binomial, proverb, cliche, and fixed statement. In this research, "Knives Out" features 46 idiomatic expressions in its dialogue and narrative, enhancing audience engagement and serving multiple purposes. The researcher hopes that this research will be a valuable resource for English educators, a reference for students seeking idiom definitions, and an enlightening exploration of idiomatic expressions in cinema. Additionally, it sets a benchmark for future researchers, acknowledging potential areas for further investigation.} }
