Tubercoulosis can cause airway obstruction by secretions so that sufferers will feel shortness of breath and have difficulty breathing. Data from the Sukabumi City Health Office in 2019 shows a total of 3,714 people. Signs and symptoms of tuberculosis include fever, coughing/coughing up blood, shortness of breath, chest pain, and malease. For supporting examinations there is a sputum check, chest photo, blood, blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function tests. Treatment management is pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Non-pharmacological treatment is chest physiotherapy and effective coughing which aims to remove secretions that block the airway. This application method uses a case study strategy. Before the application action is carried out, first observe the client's condition with TTV and physical examination. Then plan the intervention that will be carried out, namely chest physiotherapy and effective coughing, the procedure for carrying out the position of the patient according to the area of the lung that has sputum accumulation, Use a pillow to adjust the position, perform percussion with the hands cupped for 3-5 minutes, after that do the coughing technique effective. The results obtained after carrying out therapy for 3 consecutive days showed a decrease in tightness due to secretions.
