The COVID-19 vaccine is an effort to reduce the rate of spread of the COVID-19 virus; many people have the wrong perception about vaccines, which affects people's motivation to do it. This study aims to determine the relationship between people's perceptions and their motivation to do the COVID-19 vaccine.
A cross-sectional design and quantitative correlation were used in the study design. The purposive sampling method was used to collect data from 90 people in Suren Village, Mlarak District, Ponorogo Regency. A questionnaire with a Likert scale is used as an instrument to measure people's perceptions and motivation. By using Chi-Square statistical analysis.
The results showed that there was a relationship between public perception and motivation for giving the COVID-19 vaccine in Suren Village, Mlarak District, Ponorogo Regency with a research p-value of (0.004) < (0.05). The findings of this study are expected to change people's perceptions and increase their motivation to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus chain.
