abstract={CVA is a condition that occurs when the blood supply to the brain is disrupted due to blockage or rupture of blood vessels. One of them is the impact on the spiritual problems of elderly stroke sufferers, namely the inability to meet spiritual needs in their daily life, such as praying 5 times a day. Therefore family support and assistance is needed to meet the spiritual needs of patients with CVA disease. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and fulfillment of the spiritual needs of elderly people with CVA (stroke). This study uses a quantitative research design with correlation analysis. The design of this study uses a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples is 32 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria with purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were family support questionnaires (FSS) and spiritual needs fulfillment (SPNQ). Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test, p value (0.014) < ? (0.05) which means that there is a relationship between family support and meeting the spiritual needs of elderly people with CVA (stroke) at RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo. Based on the results of the Contingency Coefficient test with a closeness value of 0.398, it can be concluded that the level of closeness of the two variables is moderate. The results of this study are expected that the family can help meet the spiritual needs of the CVA elderly so that the elderly feel cared for, comfortable and peaceful.
