		abstract={Gotong royong is one of the identities owned by the Indonesian people, 
even gotong royong has existed since the time of our ancestors. Through mutual 
cooperation, a sense of solidarity, kinship and togetherness will be fostered among 
people. However, along with the flow of globalization, society has become more 
individualistic and materialism and the customs of mutual cooperation have begun 
to change. 
This study aims to find out what causes changes in the perception of 
mutual cooperation in the Ngaglik Village community and to find out how the 
government's efforts in Ngaglik Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency in 
overcoming changes in the perception of mutual cooperation in the community. 
This research was designed using qualitative research methods. While data 
collection in this study was carried out through documentation, observation, and 
interviews. Participants in this study were village heads, community 
empowerment institutions, and community leaders in Ngaglik Village, Parang 
District, Magetan Regency. 
The results showed that 1) the causes of changes in perceptions of mutual 
cooperation in the people of Ngaglik Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency 
were due to the busyness of the community in meeting their needs and the 
existence of a wage or salary system that was in force, 2) the village government's 
efforts to overcome this, namely by making appeals and participating assisting 
mutual cooperation activities in Ngaglik Village, Parang District, Magetan 
Regency.}
