State development management that can involve government officials at the central and regional levels and even in the village sector. Components or devices that must have every ability to the best of their ability to carry out activities that are aligned with their functions. Considering that there is a village government, it is the lowest basis of government compared to the Indonesian government structure. What is very operational in the formation of success in managing all efforts to develop the country in a spreading manner, then what is called the village administration is its development and governance. This study aims to determine the models and obstacles in efforts to increase the capacity of village government officials in Bancar Village and Bediwetan District, Bungkal District, Ponorogo Regency. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data for this research were obtained from in-depth interviews, literature studies and documentation.
The results of this study are that the Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD) is making efforts to increase the capacity of village government officials including Bancar Village and Bediwetan Village through institutional management. There are three important aspects of institutional management that must be owned by a village, namely 1) Basic skills, 2) Management capabilities, 3) Technical capabilities.
