		abstract={Nurses need professional competence and a framework provided by a code 
of ethics as service standards and correct judgment while working with colleagues. 
Data on nurse and colleague errors in Indonesia cannot be known with certainty, 
but the incidence of medical errors in patients has been widely reported. This is 
done to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts from occurring. The purpose of 
this study was to determine the relationship between attitude and ethical behavior 
of nurses and colleagues in nurses at the Muhammadiyah General Hospital in 
Ponorogo.
The research design used is correlation with a cross sectional approach. 
The population in this study were 154 nurses with 61 samples taken using purposive 
sampling method. The process of collecting data using a questionnaire with chi?square analysis ? (0.05).
The results of the research from 61 respondents revealed that 31 
respondents (50.8%) had a negative attitude towards the creation code of ethics, 
and 34 respondents (55,7%) had positive ethical behavior towards colleagues. 
Based on the statistical test results, the p value (0.000) < (0.05) was obtained, which 
indicates that there is a relationship between attitude and ethical behavior of nurses 
and colleagues in nurses at the Muhammadiyah General Hospital, Ponorogo.
These results show the attitude of nurses in the negative category and the 
ethical behavior of nurses and colleagues in the positive category. Therefore, it is 
expected that educational institutions pay more attention to teaching a code of 
ethics and can increase students' knowledge of the importance of a code of ethics 
including the code of ethics for nurses and colleagues.}
