Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja petugas administrasi rawat inap berdasarkan beban kerja di Rumah Sakit TK III Dr. R. Soeharsono Banjarmasin. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi terhadap 6 informan yang terdiri dari kepala administrasi, koordinator, petugas administrasi serta keluarga pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beban kerja petugas tergolong tinggi dan kompleks akibat lonjakan pasien pasca status BLU, tuntutan administrasi klaim BPJS yang ketat serta tenggat waktu yang ketat. Terjadi ketimpangan beban kerja akibat keterbatasan jumlah tenaga dan kesenjangan kompetensi antarpetugas, sehingga petugas senior memikul beban ganda. Beban berlebih menyebabkan kelelahan fisik-mental, penurunan konsentrasi dan risiko kesalahan input data yang berpotensi merugikan rumah sakit. Ditemukan paradoks pelayanan: secara waktu terasa lambat, namun sikap komunikasi dan kejelasan informasi dinilai sangat baik. Strategi manajemen berupa pembagian tugas, rotasi dan optimalisasi SIMRS baru berjalan sebagian, sedangkan evaluasi masih bersifat informal. Disimpulkan beban kerja yang tidak seimbang menjadi faktor utama yang membatasi kinerja optimal, meskipun ketahanan dan profesionalisme petugas mampu menopang mutu hubungan dengan pasien.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe performance of inpatient administrative staff plays an important role in supporting hospital services. This study aims to analyze the performance of inpatient administrative staff based on workload at TK III Dr. R. Soeharsono Hospital Banjarmasin. This descriptive qualitative study used in-depth interviews, observation and documentation involving six informants: head of administration, coordinator, administrative staff and patients’ families. The results show that workload is high and complex due to increased patient visits after BLU status implementation, strict BPJS claim requirements and tight deadlines. Workload imbalance occurs due to staff shortage and uneven competence, causing senior staff to carry double burdens. Excessive workload triggers physical and mental fatigue, reduced concentration and risk of data entry errors that may cause financial losses. A service paradox was found: administrative processes were perceived as slow in terms of time, yet communication attitude and information clarity were rated very good. Management strategies such as task allocation, rotation and SIMRS utilization have been partially implemented, while performance evaluation remains informal. It is concluded that unbalanced workload is the main factor limiting optimal performance, even though staff resilience and professionalism are able to maintain good relationships with service users.} }
