Tohari Advice A Study of Literary Sociology". Thesis for the Satra 1 program at
the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University, Semarang. 
This short story of Not Hajj Already Mabrur tells of an old woman named
Yu Timah who received the Direct Cash Subsidy (SLT) program. Four times he
received SLT in one year, the amount of money that Yu Timah received from the
government was IDR 1.2 million. Even though Yu Timah is a recipient of
government subsidies, his sincere intention to sacrifice is so high that he is willing
to sacrifice almost all of his wealth because generally the pilgrimage, which is 
expensive, does not change the character of the person. This study aims to 
describe the depiction of the characters, and describe the values of social criticism
that exist in the story. The object of the data in this research is the short story of
yet Haji Already Mabrur by Ahmad Tohari. The method of data collection in this
research is the library method. This study uses the theory of sociology of literature
and social criticism to examine the object, but as a stepping stone, a structural
approach will be used. 
Based on the results of the study, it was found that the basis of the story in
the short story yet to be Haji Already Mabrur was a criticism of the community
environment where the enthusiastic figures lived together to build a hut for Yu
Timah and his mother who was very old. The next criticism is about Yu Timah's
independence. Despite living in poverty, Yu Timah is reluctant to ask for the
mercy of others. Yu Timah lives independently by selling packaged rice.
