		abstract={Saving is the activity of setting aside a portion of one's money with the aim
of managing finances for future needs. This study aims to determine the influence
of financial literacy and lifestyle on saving behavior with self-control as an
intervening variable among students.
This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. The
respondents in this study are students from the Faculty of Economics and
Business, batches 2020-2023, at Universitas PGRI Semarang. The sampling
technique used is purposive sampling, with a total sample of 314 respondents
from the Management Study Program and the Digital Business Study Program.
Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and
assisted by the SmartPLS application.
The hypothesis testing results indicate that financial literacy and lifestyle
have a positive and significant influence on saving behavior. Additionally, self-
control acts as a mediator in the relationship between financial literacy and
lifestyle and saving behavior.
The conclusion of this study shows that all the variables studied have a
positive and significant influence. The recommendation from this research is to
involve respondents from diverse backgrounds, not only from the Faculty of
Economics and Business but also from other faculties or respondents outside the
university environment.
