This demands the ability of future students to master science and technology that is integrated with other disciplines. STEAM learning is considered capable of supporting student success in facing the 21st century education era. This study aims to determine the potential of the junior high school science curriculum in terms of the STEAM perspective (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection methods in the form of documentation from several research journal sources related to STEAM learning in the science curriculum. This research data was taken by analyzing the potential of the science curriculum through learning tools in the form of basic competencies for Class VII, VIII, and XI at the junior high school level. This learning tool is analyzed through indicators that refer to the concept of the science curriculum and STEAM itself. The indicators include; (1) Interdisciplinary, (2) Exploration, (3) Interactive, (4) Innovation, (5) Flexibility and adaptability, and (6) Content Integration. The results showed that, all science materials for grades VII, VIII, IX at the junior high school level had the potential to have a STEAM perspective, as shown in the percentage results for VII obtained a percentage of 63.63%, class VIII was 83.33% and class IX was 9.00% and for the overall average of 51.98% from 100%. This is because some of the materials meet the criteria in the predetermined indicators. In conclusion, some science material at the junior high school level has the potential to apply STEAM.
