This final project presents analysis of popular make up slogan market in UK and its contribution to Pragmatic Teaching. The main purposes of this study are : 1) to find out illocutionary act used in making advertisement slogans 2) to find out the contribution illocutionary act used for making slogan to teach Pragmatic. The research uses descriptive qualitative, that is a type of qualitative research. The techniques are selecting the advertisement video, downloading the video selected then transcribing the video to written text to be analyzed by using Yule theory. The result of the study are as follows : 1) illocutionary act are used by the advertiser to attract the costumer to buy the product 2) Most illocutionary type found in slogan is declarative type (3) This slogan analysis can be used in teaching Pragmatic. Then, it is suggested that the result of this analysis to be applied in Pragmatic teaching especially in Illocutionary teaching, the teacher can use slogans as examples of slogan in teaching illocutionary to make the learning process more interesting.
