Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian ekstrak daun katuk (Sauropus androgynus) dosis tertentu pada hepar tikus putih. Sebanyak 24 ekor tikus putih diberi perlakuan dengan dosis yang berbeda kemudian mengamati perubahan pada lesi hepar yang di lakukan di Laboratorium Terintegrasi Fakultas Kesehatan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. Pemeriksaan dilakukan dengan mengamati histopatologi hepar tikus putih di bawah mikroskop dengan perbesararan 100x dan 400x. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian ekstak daun katuk (Sauropus androgynus) katuk kelompok P2 dan P3 mengakibatkan toksisitas pada hepar tikus yaitu berupa inflamasi dan nekrosis, Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis statistik yang berbeda nyata antara kelompok perlakuan ekstrak daun katuk kelompok P2 dan P3 dibandingkan dengan kelompok P0 dan P1, Hasil analisis statistik lanjutan dengan Man Whitney-U memperlihatkan bahwa perbedaan pemberian dosis antara dosis sedang dan tinggi tidak memperlihatkan perbedaan yang nyata satu sama lain.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to determine the effect of giving a certain dose of katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) in white rat liver. A total of 24 white rats were treated at different doses and then observed changes in hepar lesions carried out at the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Health, Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University. The examination was carried out by observing the hetopathology of white rat hepar under a microscope with a magnification of 100x and 400x. The results showed that the administration of katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) at P2 and P3 group resulted in toxicity in rat liver, namely in the form of inflammation and necrosis. This is evidenced by the results of statistical analysis that differed markedly between the treatment groups of katuk leaf extract in the P2 and P3 groups compared to the P0 and P1 groups, the results of advanced statistical analysis with Man Whitney-U showed that the difference in dosing between medium and high doses did not show a noticeable difference from each other.
