abstract={This paper explains the influence of non-govermental actor?s effort to balance the environment issues, especially palm oil sector. The author tries to explain the cooperation between WWF Indonesia and palm oil companies in the implementation of RSPO schemes to support the sustainable development. The objective of this paper is to give a knowledge about the management of the palm oil industry is oriented towards a balance among economic, social, and environmental sector. The paper used the deductive research methods and data were collected through the library research techniques or a literature review. This paper used the framework of sustainable development theory and the partnership theory. It is known that the cooperation among the non-government actor?s effort is to realize the sustainable development of the palm oil sector especially played by NGOs (WWF Indonesia) and palm oil companies. The cooperation is included in a working group of Indonesia National Interpretation Working Group (INA-NIWG) and (High Conservation Value RSPO Indonesian Working Group (HCV-RIWG). The Importance of the best practices through the RSPO schemes for sustainable palm oil development is expected to answer the demand for sustainable palm oil development. It needs a good cooperation among Governments, non-governmental organizations, and local community.}
