		abstract={Batik mangrove Typeface is used to introduce batik mangrove and increase collection of typical Indonesian typeface which is still slightly. Batik mangrove is one of the surabaya society pride. Although mangrove batik has grown long enough, but its presence is less known by the public.  Batik mangrove is the only batik in indonesia which coloration system uses mangrove or it is called natural and the motif represent coastal of surabaya city. The effort made to promote batik, especially batik mangrove, is by create typeface. The motif of batik mangrove typical of surabaya is used as the element of typeface. The attractive of batik mangrove motif is expected can be known by the public through a typeface that has the character of Indonesian cultur. The main concept in this design is taking from the characteristic of batik mangrove. The motive taken is mangrove ecosystem. The motive becomes the most interesting motive and it is also called the main motive of the existing batik mangrove. It is the whole motive of the batik mangrove cloth. The concept of typeface design mangrove ecosystem motive is expected to invite all students and society who love and concern in typography in order to be an inspiration to create new typeface.
