abstract={The selection of the right combination of solvents can affect the abstracted
compounds. Rambutan leaves contain flavonoid compounds that are useful as
antioxidants. This study aims to know the optimal solvent combination in
flavonoids so that total flavonoid levels and antioxidant activity are obtained and
the influence of optimal solvent composition with total flavonoid levels and
antioxidant activity of rambutan leaf extract (Nephelium lappaceum L.).
Rambutan leaves extracted by maceration method using 8 solvent
formulas further measured total flavonoid levels using the method of colorimetry
and antioxidant activity using the ABTS method. Determination of optimal
formula using the simplex lattice design method. The verification test is
conducted using the SPPS One Sample T-Test. Analysis of the influence of
optimal solvent composition with total flavonoid levels and antioxidant activity
using pearson correlation.
The results of the identification of the compound showed rambutan leaf
extract contains flavonoid compounds, phenols, alkaloids and saponins. Obtained
the composition of water solvent 0% and ethanol 100% in the optimal formula.
The results of determining the total flavonoid levels and antiosidant activity of the
optimal formula are 12.28 ± 0.062% QE, 12.25 ± 0.116 % QE, 12.20 ± 0.025 %
QE and 7.14 ± 0.047 ppm, 7.07 ± 0.05 ppm, 7.17 ±0.02 ppm with statistical
results of one sample t>0.05 and correlation coefficient -0.947}
