		abstract={Conditional sentences are one of the topics in learning English grammar. In studying this topic, students tend to face several problems in understanding it. The purpose of this study was to find out the difficulties of students in understanding the types of conditional sentences in English. The method used was a qualitative method whose data is obtained by descriptive data. The research design was a descriptive analysis design involving 42 students in G.01 who took the test as the first data collection technique and 6 of them were selected based on their test results to be interviewed in the interview section. This research was conducted online via google form and whatsapp. Based on the results of this study, there were four difficulties experienced by students, namely the use of tenses, the form of conditional sentences, the meaning contained in conditional sentences and the process of learning conditional sentences in class.}
