		abstract={The purpose of this study was to see if flashcards influenced the vocabulary of students at SMP Negeri 2 Bintan. This research included one class with a total of 31 persons as samples. In the quantitative research design of this study, pre-test and post-test research instruments were used. The study design uses a single group pre-test/post-test as the pre-experimental approach. There are 20 questions on the test pertaining to the content being taught. Using the SPSS tool, a t-test was used for data analysis. According to the data analysis results, the t-count (11-458) is greater than the t-table (1.70). This demonstrates that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, implying that using flashcards has an effect on the vocabulary at SMP Negeri 2 Bintan.}
