		abstract={This research focuses on the development of a pocket book on English vocabulary learning. The Development Method (R&D) to produce a pocket book is guided by the 4-D (four D) model namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate, modified into 3-D, namely define, design, and develop. 
In this research, both qualitative and quantitative research approaches were used to collect data. The research subjects included 20 students from class 8.3, as well as two validation experts, namely the English teacher of SMPN 10 Tanjungpinang as the material expert and the lecturer of English study program of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji as the media expert. The researcher used questionnaires for students' needs analysis, media validation sheet, material validation sheet, and students' perception sheet to collect data. Documents for students' needs analysis, media validation, material validation, and practicality test were also used in the data collection technique. 
The results showed that the English vocabulary pocket book was included in the ?Very Valid? criteria based on media validation with a percentage of validity results of 100% and based on the material obtained a result of 98.5% with ?Very Valid? criteria. The practicality results obtained 89.75% with ?Very Practical? criteria from the student perception sheet. Therefore, the results showed that the English vocabulary pocket book for Eighth-grade of SMPN 10 Tanjungpinang was valid and practical to be used as a complement in the learning process.}
