		abstract={This study aimed to improve students' perceptions of retelling after mastering the contents of the reading. The subjects of this study were students of SMAN 1 Tanjungpinang, especially class X.6, which consisted of 46 students, 27 female students, and 19 male students. This research aims to increase students' concentration and show how effective reading is so that students can retell based on Jennings' theory, which the author refers to in this study. According to Jennings, there is evidence that retelling can improve comprehension, holistic reading, and feedback when teachers interact with students.}
