		abstract={This research aims to determine the effect of the Make a Match technique on students' vocabulary in class VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Tanjungpinang. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 11 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province for the 2023/2024 academic year in class VIII. From class 8.1 with a total of 36 students as the experimental class and from class 8.2 with a total of 36 students as the control class. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design. The data collection instruments taken were the results of multiple choices exams for pre and post treatment. This study uses the t-test to assess research data. Based on statistical analysis with a significance limit of 5%, t0=2.912 was determined to be greater than tt=2.100. The results of this study show that the Make a Match technique has a positive influence on the vocabulary mastery of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 11Tanjungpinang.}
