		abstract={Abstract
Tourism is an important sector in a country's industry. With the development of technology and information about tourism phenomena whose image as a source of people's income will disappear and be replaced by technology. This research focuses on the tourist object of Ekang Village which is in Bintan Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out how the tourism sector can affect the economy of the surrounding community which involves the tourism office. This research refers to Suwantoro's theory (in Jumiatus: 2020) which refers to a tourism-based economic strategy. This research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research are seen with infrastructure and facilities that have a natural concept, therefore this tourism is still in the developing category, this will also attract tourists to visit. This tourism can also take advantage of and promote existing potential, especially natural potential by taking advantage of natural beauty and its diversity to build an educational tourism supported by excellent HR services. By considering the various things above, it can be used as an increase in sustainability in the future so that it can provide better improvements. The tourism office has also been involved but not optimally, but with its support it can have a positive impact on tourism, this will also have an economic impact on the surrounding community with job vacancies and buying works or nature from the community will have an impact on the economy of the community it self.
