CNN is an American news based pay television channel owned by TedTurner & Reese Schonfeld WarnerMedia. CNN International is an international English-language cable channel that broadcasts news, political events, sports, opinions, features and business programs throughout the world. Diction is choice of word, diction is selection of the right words used to convey something. Diction is important because it contains behind a psychological burden that may affect the attitude and character of the reader. This is a descriptive qualitative study in which the data are taken by identifying, collecting and analysing data. The techniques of data analysis are identifying, categorizing, and drawing the conclusion. The study found that the four (4) scripts of CNN international news use four (4) types of lexical structure of diction such as synonymy, polysemy, hyponymy and antonymy. From the four (4) scripts there are 49 words which are analyzed based on its lexical structure with 17 words (34%) of synonymy, 15 words (32%) of polysemy, 14 words (28%) of hyponymy and 3 words (6%) of antonymy. So based on the result above, the most dominant type of lexical structure in the four (4) scripts of CNN International News is synonymy and the least is antonymy.} }
