Acne develops into inflammation (inflammatory acne) when infected with bacteria, especially the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. Secang wood extract (Caesalpinia sappan L) contains Brazilin flavonoids which are known to have inhibitory properties against the Propionibacterium acne bacteria. One of the acne treatments is using acne soap. Therefore, this study aims to obtain a transparent soap preparation formula with the active ingredient of Secang wood extract (Caesalpinia sappan L), formulation techniques and to determine the antibacterial activity against P. acne bacteria that causes acne. So it is hoped that Secang wood can be developed into a medicinal cosmetic product, which has economic value. The colour of transparent soap is light purple to dark purple red, with a solid texture and a distinctive VCO aroma, has a pH of 9.3-9.7. The levels of free fatty acids / free alkalis are 0.04-0.4% , unsweetened fats 0.29-0.34% , have a water content of 18% -30.6% , have total fat content 15.96% -30.98% .
